Functional (Nano) Materials

Functional materials found applications in numerous fields including photocatalysis, nutrients delivery, photo- and regenerative medicine, cosmetics products such as decorative pigments and sunscreens.

Heterogeneous Materials for Environment

We are interested in the development of novel materials for environmental remediation such as water filters and photocatalysts to remove emerging pollutants. Here, we work with graphene, graphene oxide as suitable platform for the development of filters. TiO2 is other example of powerful material that can be used for these purposes. Our goal is to tune optical properties of TiO2 to unable its activation by white light.
